MotoPlace Sdn. Bhd. (202401027035) ("we", "us", "our") is committed to protecting your personal data in accordance with the Personal Data Protection Act 2010 (PDPA) of Malaysia. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store and protect your personal information when you use MotoPlace.my.
We collect the following personal data: • Account information: name, email address, phone number • Listing information: vehicle details, photos, descriptions, pricing • Dealer information: company name, SSM registration, business address • Usage data: pages visited, search queries, listings viewed • Device information: IP address, browser type, operating system • Communications: messages sent through our platform
We use your personal data for the following purposes: • To create and manage your account • To display your listings to potential buyers • To send account verification and notification emails • To improve our platform and user experience • To prevent fraud and ensure platform security • To comply with legal obligations under Malaysian law • To send promotional communications (with your consent)
Under the PDPA 2010, we process your personal data based on: (a) Your consent when you register and use our services; (b) The performance of a contract when you post listings or use our services; (c) Our legitimate interests in operating a safe and effective marketplace; (d) Compliance with legal obligations under Malaysian law.
We do not sell your personal data to third parties. We may share your data with: • Other users: your name, phone number and listing details are visible to other users as part of the marketplace function • Service providers: Supabase (database hosting), Vercel (web hosting) who process data on our behalf • Law enforcement: when required by Malaysian law or court order • Business transfers: in the event of a merger or acquisition
Your data is stored on secure servers hosted by Supabase in the Asia Pacific region. We implement appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your personal data against unauthorised access, alteration, disclosure or destruction. However, no internet transmission is completely secure and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

MotoPlace.my uses cookies and similar technologies to improve your browsing experience, analyse site traffic and personalise content. You can control cookie settings through your browser. Disabling cookies may affect the functionality of certain features on our Platform.

If you delete your account, we will delete your personal data within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it by law. Listing data may be retained in anonymised form for analytics purposes.
