Is MotoPlace.my free to use?

Yes. Browsing listings is free. Normal users can keep up to 3 active ads, and verified dealer accounts can keep up to 350 active ads during the launch period. Paid packages may be introduced later, but they are not enforced now.

How do I create an account?

Click "Register" on the top right corner. Fill in your details, verify your email and you're ready to go. The whole process takes less than 2 minutes.

What is the difference between a Normal User and a Dealer account?

Normal users can keep up to 3 active ads at a time, which suits individuals selling personal bikes or accessories. Dealer accounts are for businesses and get up to 350 active ads, a dedicated dealer profile page, dealer verification, and visibility in the Dealer Directory.

How do I contact a seller?

On any listing page, you'll find "Call Seller" and "WhatsApp Seller" buttons. These connect you directly with the seller. Always verify the seller's identity and the bike's documents before making any payment.

Does MotoPlace.my verify listings?

Accepted Answer

MotoPlace.my is a listing platform — we do not verify the accuracy of listings or the identity of sellers. Always exercise due diligence: meet in a safe public location, verify all JPJ documents (grant, roadtax, puspakom) before paying, and never transfer full payment without inspecting the bike in person.

What documents should I check before buying?

Always verify: (1) Grant/Geran — ownership document, (2) Road tax (Roadtax) validity, (3) JPJ ownership transfer eligibility, (4) PUSPAKOM inspection report for used bikes, (5) Insurance validity. If the seller cannot provide these documents, walk away.

What if I get scammed?

If you suspect fraud, report the listing immediately to hello@motoplace.my and file a police report. We take fraud very seriously and will cooperate fully with authorities. Remember — never pay full amount before inspecting the bike in person.

How do I post a listing?

Log in to your account, click "Post Ad" in the navigation bar. Fill in your bike details, upload photos (up to 10), write a description and publish. Your listing will be live immediately.

How long does a listing stay active?

Listings are active for 60 days. After 60 days, they expire automatically. You can repost the listing again if your bike is still available.

How many photos can I upload?

Accepted Answer

You can upload up to 10 photos per listing. We recommend uploading clear photos from multiple angles — front, rear, both sides, dashboard, engine and any defects. Better photos attract more serious buyers.

Are there any prohibited listings?

Yes. The following are strictly prohibited: stolen vehicles, illegally modified bikes, listings with inappropriate photos, fraudulent listings, and duplicate listings. Violating our Terms of Use may result in account suspension. Full details are in our Terms of Use page.

Why was my photo rejected?

All uploaded photos are automatically scanned by Google Cloud Vision AI for inappropriate content. Photos containing nudity, violence or explicit material are automatically rejected. Please only upload clear photos of your motorcycle.

How do I register as a dealer?

Click "Register" and select "Dealership" as your account type. Fill in your company details including SSM registration number or business proof. Once registered, your account goes into the dealer verification queue and can keep up to 350 active ads during launch.

Is there a fee for dealer accounts?

Dealer accounts are currently free. We plan to introduce premium dealer features in the future with optional paid tiers, but package payment is not enforced during the current launch period.

How do I get verified as a dealer?

Submit your dealer details during signup, including SSM number or business proof. The admin team reviews the verification queue and marks approved dealers as verified, which displays a badge on the dealer profile.

Can I upload a logo and banner for my dealer page?

Yes! Log in to your dashboard, go to "Dealer Profile" tab and upload your company logo and a banner image. These appear on your public dealer profile page.

What are riding clubs on MotoPlace.my?

Riding clubs are communities within MotoPlace.my where riders with similar interests can connect. You can join existing clubs or create your own. Clubs can be public (anyone can join) or private (requires approval).

How do I create a club?

Log in to your dashboard, click "Create Club" in the sidebar. Fill in your club name, description, type and location. You can set it as public or private. As the creator, you'll automatically be the first member.

How do I join a private club?

For private clubs, click "Request to Join". The club creator will be notified via WhatsApp and can approve or reject your request.

How do I submit an event?

Go to the Community page and click "Create Event". Fill in your event details and submit via WhatsApp. Our team will review and publish your event within 24 hours.

I can't log in to my account. What should I do?

First, make sure you've verified your email after registration — check your inbox for a confirmation email. If you still can't log in, try resetting your password or contact us at hello@motoplace.my.

I didn't receive the verification email. What should I do?

Check your spam/junk folder first. If it's not there, wait 5 minutes and try again. If you still don't receive it, contact us at hello@motoplace.my with your registered email address.

How do I update my profile information?

Log in to your dashboard and click "Edit Profile" in the sidebar. You can update your phone number and state/location. Your name and email cannot be changed — contact support if you need to update these.
